Position Overview

Reporting to the Director of Business Optimization, the Business Data Analyst will be an integral contributor to the successful deployment of Greenfield’s data strategy. The Business Data Analyst is responsible for analyzing and delivering on business data reporting requirements, ensuring business facing data repositories are clear and concise, and implementing a disciplined data approach while achieving high levels of customer satisfaction.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Key contributor for implementation of Greenfield’s data strategy
  • Develop clear understanding of Greenfield’s data reporting systems and structures including data elements and relational data
  • Deploy disciplined policies and procedures for data requirements gathering, data validation and report creation
  • Power BI super user with ability to support and recommend improvements to internal customers
  • Work closely with ERP technical resources through project implementation to ensure smooth reporting transitions
  • Represent business stakeholders on technical data requirements
  • Understand business processes, data, and systems
  • Collaborate with internal customers to evaluate data reporting performance and identify areas of improvement
  • Implement and maintain data dictionary and data repository naming conventions to ensure ease of use for customers
  • Develop metrics for tracking success and trends
  • Manage report request support queue
  • Prioritize reporting needs with business stakeholders
  • Work collaboratively with the IT department to deliver best in class customer service.
Skills & Qualifications


  • 3+ years of experience in a data or analyst role (preferably at a manufacturing company)
  • Understanding of data architecture concepts to easily work with technical teams to reach project goals
  • Power BI super user
  • Dynamics 365 F&O experience an asset
  • Navision/Business Central experience an asset
  • Ability to travel to US, Canada, Ireland as needed
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
  • Strong ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Ability to analyze and present numerical data in tables, spreadsheets, etc.
