Position Overview

Location: Open to all North America

The DevOps Administrator will effectively deploy and manage applications to promote the reliability and integrity of functional processes which support and comply with business objectives. The DevOps Administrator will develop, maintain, modify, install, and support Greenfield’s application systems. Greenfield runs in a 24/7 environment, some duties are required to be performed during off hours.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Collaborate and communicate with project stakeholders to identify project requirements
  • Identify, implement and support robust & effective applications that continuously provide value to business units and their processes
  • Design, develop and document data pipelines and integrations between applications and data sources
  • Build and support front-end reports and interfaces with business intelligence tools
  • Maintain and analyze data from numerous enterprise IT applications and platforms, and provide KPIs and actionable recommendations as required
  • Uphold application security best practices including version control
  • Adhere to SDLC procedures and maintain DEV, SIT, UAT, and Production environments
  • Participate & contribute to cross-functional projects and team collaboration
  • Identify solutions to continuously improve systems performance and remediate issues
  • Develop and maintain systems-related technical documentation to facilitate implementation, ongoing application support, and internal cross training
  • Actively conduct knowledge transfers of application systems and procedures to team members and business stakeholders
  • Perform day-to-day operational activities and provide technical support to service desk team where necessary
  • Support building and maintaining tools for deployment, monitoring and operations
  • Follow Information Technology policies and procedures
  • Other duties as assigned.
Skills & Qualifications
  • Completion of a related technical post-secondary diploma/degree
  • Strong analytical skills and customer service abilities
  • Ability to communicate effectively on technical and business issues
  • 3+ years of SQL scripting experience with relational DBs
  • 2+ years of systems integration experience (SQL queries, RESTful APIs, connectors)
  • 2+ years of working with SDLC environments
  • 2+ years of application host support experience
  • 2+ years of CI/CD implementation and support experience
  • 1+ years of BI reporting design experience (Power BI preferred)
  • 1+ years of collaboration tool experience (Teams, Lifesize and Slack preferred)
  • Preferred but not required:
    • Programming experience
    • Git version control experience
    • UI/UX design experience
    • Cloud development or administration experience (Azure preferred)
    • Web design or administration experience (WordPress)
    • Containerization experience (Docker, Kubernetes)
    • Machine learning experience or familiarity
  • Must be able to collaborate heavily with the team and inspire increased productivity from teammates
  • Must be a strong critical thinker who is able to think and adapt quickly to solve problems and meet business objectives
  • Must be able to independently research, learn and adapt continuously and on the fly
  • Ability to maintain composure and instill confidence while managing multiple aspects of core business processes
  • Strong understanding of DevOps concepts, deployment, and troubleshooting techniques
