Position Overview

The ERP Financial Implementation Analyst role is critical to the success of the ERP Implementation.

Reporting to the ERP Project Director, you will be an experienced ERP Finance Lead with a proven track record of success in similar projects. A subject matter expert of ERP software implementations, you will work with all stakeholders at all levels (both internal and external) to identify requirements and configure solutions to meet the project goals.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Take a lead role in the implementation of the ERP Project finance modules including chart of accounts, accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, cash management, payroll, fixed assets, projects and financial reporting
  • Play a key role in financial discovery sessions, assisting with data conversion mapping from legacy systems to the common ERP platform
  • Responsible for finance process design during ERP design, including creation, review and approval of detailed “to be” business scenarios, processes, workflows and use cases
  • Lead the cross-functional team on all financial related activities. This team may consist of internal and external members
  • Contributes to all finance process & system requirements, design and review sessions and detailed business scenarios to help define and test the solution
  • Acts as liaison to and coordinator of input from the Finance subject matter experts in all Greenfield Global locations
  • Organizes and controls business acceptance testing of the solution for the finance function
  • Drive a common financial practice within the ERP system across the enterprise
  • Lead the implementation of the Activity Based Costing
  • Process mapping and validation for functional area
  • Testing of the new system and all integrations
  • End-user support lead in functional area
  • Write and maintain appropriate documentation to support standard system and implementation processes including but not limited to technical, user, and training material
  • Participate in daily ERP team meetings and provide functional area updates at all weekly status meetings
  • Provide subject matter expertise and day-to-day planning and implementation for the respective functional area(s) and cross functional impact
  • Develop, coordinate, and implement plans to test business and functional processes during system development and quality assurance testing
  • Tracks and documents change to functional and business systems
  • Monitors and documents post-implementation problems and revision requests
  • Train end users in the key functional areas.
Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent background is an asset
  • Financial, analytical and statistical skills to resolve conflicting and complex objectives
  • ERP Implementation experience is required. Preferably with Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O and/or Dynamics AX 2012
  • Chartered Professional Accountant is an asset
  • Prior Manufacturing/ Operations experience is preferred
  • Ability to maintain composure and instill confidence while managing multiple aspects of core business processes
  • Significant experience in implementing a mid-tier ERP Project
  • Experience with Activity Based Costing
  • Ability to define problems, establish facts, collect data and draw conclusions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with a strong emphasis on technical writing
  • Understanding of system engineering concepts
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Excellent negotiating skills
  • Ability to be flexible about project changes and dynamically mitigate risks with mid-course corrective action
  • Prior project management experience
  • Ability to produce clear well documented business cases
  • Must be able to think and adapt quickly to meet business needs
  • There will be significant travel with this role for the first 3 – 5 years (50%) to meet business objectives and provide onsite support as needed within the US and Canada.
