Your Experience Should Include:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technical/Science focused is preferred
  • A minimum of 5 years of process engineering experience (preferably in pharmaceutical or chemical plants)
  • Ability to influence decision makers with clear presentations of data and recommended solutions
  • A bias for action taking initiative to implement changes to control strategies or process with the appropriate communication and regulatory considerations
  • Experience with Batch Processing & Packaging of flammable liquids/solvents is preferred
  • Highest regard and respect for employees, customers, and suppliers
  • Experience working effectively within cross-boundary relationships
  • Self-directed team player with experience and proven track record of process improvement implementation
  • Open and straight-forward in communications on all levels
  • Promotes the communication of clear expectations, performance standards and accountability at all levels
  • Strong initiative to learn, challenge existing states when appropriate, initiate process improvements, and communicate across departments and functions facilitating resolution of product quality or process efficiency issues
  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable presenting detailed/complex information to various levels of the organization
  • Skilled in MS Office, CAD 2D, Defect Analysis and Lean Principle Application.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Designs, develops, reviews and directs a successful strategy for Engineering oversight of commissioning, qualification, and validation activities required for manufacturing facilities
  • Design and provide technical recommendations and solutions for problems that impact the reliability, efficiency, or operability of the facility
  • Apply statistical methods and perform product/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement, and improved efficiency
  • Map, investigate, and analyze business processes to improve productivity through the elimination of non-value-added activities
  • Work with quality and production to identify gaps between current process and standardized work and develop corrective actions to resolve
  • Develop and validate standard work instructions for assigned processes
  • Initiate and manage capital process improvement projects that meet or exceed sales and budget goals
  • Develop and coordinate the training of operators with a focus on quality critical product specifications, Standard Operating Procedures, and process parameters
  • Work with project management to identify process issues and risks
  • Develop and maintain processes to produce a robust quality product that meets customer and regulatory requirements
  • Represent manufacturing/engineering on cross-functional teams
  • Design, develop, test, and/or source and cost-justify various tools, machinery and equipment for recommended manufacturing methods. Confer with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of machinery and equipment according to specifications and quality standards
  • General accountabilities include:
    • Solutions Orientated: Act independently and proactively to recommend and administer methods and procedures for problem resolution
    • Project Planning: Develop or supports the basis of design that achieves the goals and objectives of the project and aligns with the organization’s overall business strategy
    • Time Management: Define, schedule, and accurately estimate project task durations to develop and maintain a realistic project schedule
    • Resource Management: Identify and deploy human, financial, and material resources to achieve project deliverables
    • Stakeholder Management: Communicate with stakeholders on a regular basis reporting progress while being open to feedback to meet the desired outcome
    • Risk Management: Identify, communicate, and address issues in a timely manner to minimize risk to the company
    • Monitoring Progress: Measure progress and compare against project milestones to determine if adjustments or corrective actions are required
    • Reporting and Documentation: Establish reporting and documentation tools that meet all regulatory requirements in order to effectively communicate with project teams and stakeholders.
