Greenfield is looking for a Production Manager to join our growing team.
Position Overview:
Reporting to the Plant Manager, this position establishes department objectives in the areas of Safety, Environmental, Production, Quality and Efficiency, and develops strategies for effective implementation and continuous improvement. The Production Manager has full ownership, responsibility, and accountability for all activities within the Production group. This includes the safe and efficient production of Industrial alcohol, fuel ethanol and WDG. The Production Manager leads and directs Process Operators, Chief Operating Engineer, Process Engineer and Fermentation Specialist to achieve department objectives consistent with plant and corporate requirements.

Who You Are:- Bachelor of Applied Science, B.A. Sc., Mechanical or Chemical with Process Engineering experience desired
- Advanced ability to evaluate and interpret technical reports and correspondence.
- Good knowledge of EH&S regulatory requirements.
- A minimum of five years supervisory or leadership experience in a continuous process facility.
- Experience with alcohol production background is an asset.
- Proven experience in establishing a vision and setting objectives and change management.
- Experience with performance management, developing people and achieving results through others.
- Comfortable with people; proven experience of leading and facilitating teams of people.
- Has clear communication, team focus and expectations. Assumes full ownership and responsibility over the department to develop team to their highest potential.
- A team leader, open-minded, and can work effectively with individuals from a variety of backgrounds.
- A self-starter, practical person who is action-oriented after formulating a decision.

- Implement, oversee, and comply with all Company health and safety, environmental, and quality policies and regulatory requirements.
- Adheres to all safety policies and requirements prescribed in GFE-SMS-4.4.6-06 PPE Procedure.
- With respect to direct reports, the Production Manager is expected to:
- Establish objectives, priorities, and support team activities.
- Communicate regularly with all employees regarding operating requirements and operating and procedural changes.
- Foster a team-based culture.
- Regulate vacation policy and ensures that crew skills are balanced.
- Coordinate training for the group.
- Conduct regular safety and communication meetings.
- Provide growth opportunities for all reports.
- Administer performance evaluations.
- Establish, prioritize, and lead implementation strategies to achieve department and plant objectives, optimal plant performance, and continuous improvement initiatives. Stay current on industry performance standards and best practices and ensure that the plant facility meets or exceeds benchmark standards.
- Determine future needs and priorities and establish the technical direction for the process and department.
- Collaborate, evaluate, and prioritize plant objectives, and participate in the development and implementation of business action plans as a member of the Tiverton leadership team.
- Works with Plant Manager for annual department budget, monthly cost reports, and all relevant general ledger accounts.
- Work closely with the Project Engineer to evaluate and prioritize capital needs and project scope.
- Work closely with the Maintenance team to optimize the efficiency of equipment and all planned outages.
- Work closely with the QA Manager to ensure excellence in product quality.
- Within area of responsibility, develop, promote, and positively support goals and objectives in the areas of Safety, Environment, Product Quality and Consistency, Customer Service, ISO compliance, FSMA compliance, FSSC compliance, Internal Supplier Relationships, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Participates positively in and supports compliance of FSMA and any other food and feed safety standards. Other duties and responsibilities aligned to business objectives and in support of our core principles.
