Greenfield is looking for a Business Unit Controller, SC&I to join our growing team.

Reporting directly to Director of Finance, the Business Unit Controller, SC&I is responsible for managing all accounting activities to ensure compliance with GAAP, corporate policies and external audits. The Business Unit Controller, SC&I will manage a team responsible for accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, monthly and annual closing of accounts and preparation of financial reports and statements.

Who You Are:
  • Accounting Degree (CPA preferred)
  • Possesses a strong systems background and excellent analytical skills
  • Good written, verbal communication and collaborative skills
  • Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office products
  • Knowledge of ERP systems and ability to work well with others
  • Ability to work independently under minimal supervision and with competing priorities
  • Excellent leadership and team development skills
  • Ability to develop, implement and adhere  to accounting policies and financial controls
Your Experience Should Include:
  • 5 or more years of related general accounting experience in a complex environment (preferably manufacturing)
  • Proven success in hiring, training and motivating an accounting team
  • Experience working with multiple entities in a multi-currency environment
  • Knowledge of MS D365 preferred but not required
Job Responsibilities:
  • Manage the monthly and year-end accounting close procedures, reviewing journal entries, accruals and other adjusting entries, account balance reconciliations and report preparation
  • Planning, directing and coordinating all accounting operational functions
  • Assessing current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement and implementing new processes
  • Performance of account analytics
  • Preparation of sales tax returns
  • Regulatory reporting for government entities
  • Liaising with external auditors in performance of interim and annual audit of financial statements
  • Periodic review and testing of internal controls
  • Ad hoc reporting and other duties as assigned
