Position Overview

The SharePoint Administrator will design, maintain, modify, implement, and support Greenfield’s Microsoft SharePoint Online and Teams systems.

At Greenfield there are 16 offices across North America & Ireland, with over 700 users. The SharePoint Administrator will be assigned primary duties and responsibilities while also serving as a backup administrator to other IT Application Administrators.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Serve as a SharePoint Online subject matter expert.  Provides knowledge sharing and collaboration with team and service desk group
  • Important team member ensuring the successful rollout of SharePoint Online as a document management system to the organization
  • Plan, design, develop, test and implement SharePoint: sites, pages, libraries, lists, views, and workflows
  • Adhere to SDLC procedures with DEV, SIT, UAT, and Production environments
  • Automate and streamline Greenfield’s SharePoint operations and processes
  • Configure SharePoint integrations with Office365, MS Teams, MS Viva (future) and D365 F&O
  • Plan, design, test and deploy Microsoft Power Apps to include Canvas, Model-Driven, and Portals to meet requirements
  • Configure, deploy, upgrade, and support internal services including front-end reports and interfaces with business intelligence tools (such as Power BI)
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in the Dev, QA/UAT and Production environments for a wide range of projects
  • Prior experience with SharePoint migrations to provide guidance, expertise moving various workloads/content to SharePoint Online and resolve outstanding issues post migrations
  • Facilitate data integrity and monitor SharePoint content and permissions, as required, to ensure community activity follows guidelines and expectations
  • Develop and maintain system-related documentation to facilitate implementation and/or adoption of system changes
  • Communicate with end-users, team leads, and team members on the details of proposed designs & work progress to provide guidance with SharePoint related tasks
  • Support users with webpage development and maintenance, with an emphasis on users being able to maintain content themselves
  • Actively conduct knowledge transfers of application systems and procedures to customers and stakeholders
  • Uphold application security best practices including permissions and version control
  • Actively research upcoming features and pitch these improvements to management
    • o  i.e. Teams central hub for: Collaboration, SharePoint Document Management, Viva Insights, Learning etc
  • Identify solutions to continuously improve systems performance and remediate issues
  • Participate and contribute to cross-functional projects and team collaboration
  • Perform day-to-day operational activities and provide technical support to service desk team where necessary
  • Follow Information Technology policies and procedures
  • Other duties as assigned.
Skills & Qualifications
  • Completion of a related technical post-secondary diploma/degree
  • Minimum 3 years SharePoint Online administration and end-user experience
  • Minimum 3 years Office 365 administration experience
  • Experience with using SharePoint as a document management system
  • Experience working with end-users in developing, maintaining, and updating the content of SharePoint sites including migration of Classic to Modern pages
  • Solid technical understanding of Office365, OneDrive and Teams
  • Experience with integrations to enterprise software including O365, D365, and Teams
  • Experience with SharePoint’s D365 F&O integration / best practices is an asset
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer-focus skills including effective oral and written communication
  • Strong understanding of Modern Authentication Graph API
  • Strong understanding of troubleshooting techniques for applications, hardware and networking
  • Ability to promote best practices in terms of deliverables, processes, and knowledge sharing
  • Ability to translate requirements into solutions.  Effectively work with internal colleagues on identifying solutions to meet the desired result
  • Ability to maintain composure and instill confidence while managing multiple aspects of core business processes
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Must be willing to travel to meet business objectives, approx. 5%.
