EHS Today Announces Greenfield Global as One of America’s Safest Companies for 2026
MISSISSAUGA, ON, September 4, 2026 — EHS Today, the source for news, trends and best practices for environment, health and safety leaders, has announced its list of the 2026 America’s Safest Companies, naming Greenfield Global as one of the top eight recipients.
To be considered as one of America’s Safest Companies, organizations must demonstrate excellence in several areas: support from leadership and management for EHS efforts; employee involvement in the EHS process; innovative solutions to safety challenges; injury and illness rates lower than the average for their industries; comprehensive training programs; evidence that prevention of incidents is the cornerstone of the safety process; good communication about the value of safety; and a way to substantiate the benefits of the safety process.
"This recognition is a reflection of the incredible work taking place across Greenfield Global sites every day,” said Christa Morphew, Director of Corporate EH&S and Sustainability at Greenfield Global. "Thank you all for your EH&S leadership and making our sites some of the safest workplaces in the nation."
Since 2002, the America’s Safest Companies competition has sought to identify those characteristics that differentiate good safety programs from great ones, and to then celebrate the best practices and procedures that exemplify safety excellence.
“The America’s Safest Companies award program recognizes and celebrates companies that go the extra mile in their pursuit of workplace safety,” said EHS Today Editor-in-Chief Dave Blanchard. “We congratulate all the award winners for their commitment to world-class safety excellence, and for establishing and maintaining a workplace safety culture.”
The America’s Safest Companies Class of 2026 includes: AFL Telecommunications; Cushman & Wakefield—Global Occupier Services; Douglas Machine; Enerfab Power & Industrial; Forest Electric NJ; Greenfield Global; Rummel Construction; and West Wind Reinforcing.
The best practices of the 2026 America’s Safest Companies are featured in a special section in the Fall 2026 issue of EHS Today magazine and on the brand’s website, www.ehstoday.com. Since 2002, America’s Safest Companies has honored more than 250 organizations for their unwavering commitment to worker safety, health and environmental stewardship.
The companies that have achieved that level of excellence in 2026 will be honored at special awards presentation webinar, “How to Create and Sustain a World-Class Safety Culture: Insights from America’s Safest Companies of 2026,” which will be held Tuesday, September 22, at 2:00 pm (EDT).
