Greenfield Global Domestic OTSW Production Now Commercially Available
SHELBYVILLE, KENTUCKY, June 24, 2026 — Greenfield Global announced today that its Shelbyville, Kentucky campus is now commercially producing and shipping U.S.-compliant Other than Standard Wine (OTSW). Greenfield’s OTSW provides U.S. beverage alcohol producers a new source of supply that can reduce tariff exposure, decrease shipping costs, ensure TTB compliance, and improve lead times. This dedicated production operation was built and brought online in less than eight months on Greenfield’s existing 16-acre facility.
For U.S. producers of Wine-Based and Spirit-Based Beverages, Greenfield’s domestic OTSW offering targets two immediate pressures: rising imported ingredient costs and increasing supply chain complexities. Producing OTSW in the U.S. reduces import risk and shipping costs of this TTB approved U.S.-compliant product.
Greenfield’s Shelbyville facility features include dedicated tanks, a state-of-the-art reverse osmosis water system, and both Food Safety and Kosher certifications. Given the site’s proprietary rail access and tanker shipping capabilities, this OTSW solution allows for faster lead times and lower freight costs than imported sources.
Greenfield Global’s vertically integrated model for producing OTSW and ensuring seamless delivery provides customers with traceability and consistent quality. Our experts will help customers meet formulation requirements and optimize excise tax positioning under TTB 5010 provisions.
“Today’s beverage producers are navigating increasing volatility across imported ingredients, freight, and regulatory compliance,” said Jimmy Bookstore, Vice President of Beverage and Alcohol Ingredients at Greenfield Global. “By producing OTSW domestically using our vertically integrated supply chain and proprietary processes, we help to support greater security of supply, improved cost predictability, and aim to reduce exposure to tariffs and logistics disruptions. This enables our customers to optimize total landed cost while maintaining regulatory compliance and consistent product quality.”
Howard Field, Chief Executive Officer of Greenfield Global added, “This investment reflects Greenfield’s ability to respond quickly to shifting market dynamics and evolving customer needs. As a privately held company, we are able to take a long-term view—making strategic, innovation-driven investments that enhance supply chain agility, improve economics for our customers, and position our partners to compete more effectively in a dynamic market.”
