This year’s results highlight our commitment to environmental health, employee wellbeing, and community strength.
Key outcomes include: $15.3 million invested over the past 10 years in research, development, and early-stage project design to advance key carbon-reduction projects, 51% decline in hazardous waste generation from the previous year, and continued recognition as Canada’s Safest Chemistry Employer. We’ve also increased our community engagement through collaborations with 84 organizations.
Ambitious new goals target a 20% reduction in water intake by 2027, with direct greenhouse gas emissions set to drop 30% below 2024 levels, and indirect emissions from the generation of purchased energy cut 60% below 2024 levels by 2030.
