Greenfield is looking for a Plant Finance Manager, Life Sciences (SC&I) to join our growing team.

Who You Are:
  • Ability to work ON-SITE at either the Greenfield Global Brookfield, CT location or Shelbyville, KY location

  • Ability to travel 2-3 times per year to the US locations and or Canadian HQ
Your Experience Should Include:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (CPA preferred).
  • 7+ years of experience in financial analysis or cost accounting within a complex manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to lead a holistic costing environment, drive continuous improvement in the function and successfully partner with business leads.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (experience with Dynamics 365 is an asset).
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently under minimal supervision and manage multiple priorities.
Job Responsibilities:

Financial Analysis & Reporting

  • Calculate actual manufacturing costs and prepare periodic reports comparing estimated costs to actual production costs and investigate variances.
  • Report on accuracy of batch order cost estimates vs actuals.
  • Provide reliable and up-to-date cost of sales data to support customer level margin analysis.
  • Analyze plant spending and provide recommendations to improve cost efficiency and profitability.
  • Develop and maintain KPIs and dashboards to monitor plant performance.
  • Prepare and present financial reports to plant and corporate leadership, delivering key insights into product line and customer margin performance.

Costing

  • Collection of analysis of all relevant costing data to develop and maintain accurate cost estimates for materials, labor and overhead; update as needed.
  • Analyzing changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods or services provided, to determine effects on cost and margins.
  • Ownership for item set-up and cost updates to drive accuracy of all bills of materials.
  • Key user and management of the cost accounting module in D365 including open and close of inventory module and month end. Ensuring system meets business needs and requirements.
  • Coordination of periodic physical inventory counts, ensuring adjustments are booked accordingly.
  • Integration into the system of all transfer price changes and updates to cost estimates.

Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Assist in the development of annual budgets and rolling forecasts.
  • Partner with operations and supply chain to validate planning assumptions and identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Ad hoc support, as required.
