Greenfield is looking for a Production Engineer (one year contract) to join our growing team.

Who You Are:
  • Completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering working towards a P.Eng. Designation.
Your Experience Should Include:
  • Resourceful and practical, with demonstrated problem solving and decision making capabilities.
  • Strong organizational skills paired with an ability to manage multiple priorities with competing demands .
  • Demonstrate commitment to safety, environmental practices, production targets, and quality standards.
  • Team-oriented individual with strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across departments.

Bonus Points If You Have Any of These:
  • Previous engineering experience in a relevant field is an asset.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Develop a thorough knowledge of each process area, and the interrelationship between process areas, from the perspectives of chemical reactions, raw material consumption, mass and energy balance.
  • Develop, build and enhance operator knowledge and experience through team-based, participative improvement initiatives and technical training.
  • Identify Capex opportunities to debottleneck current processes and provide basic engineering design to the process and Innovation group, developing business cases when required.
  • Act as the department lead for the operating of the distillation unit, recommending operational changes, short and long term projects to increase the throughput and efficiency of the plant.
  • Ensures plant rates of Fuel/HPA balance is aligned with the current forecast.
  • Develop and execute plant trials in the distillation operating area using DOE and LSS methodologies.
  • Responsible for data analysis in distillation for process investigations, cost and quality improvements.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including Root Cause Analysis, HAZOP, and design review.
