Export Logistics Assistant

Greenfield is looking for a Export Logistics Assistant to join our growing team.

Position Overview:

Based at the Brampton Packaging Facility, this position carries out shipping responsibilities for export products, completing appropriate shipping documentation and ensuring deadlines with rail and ocean carriers are met. The position will also provide support for all export functions not limited to Export Shipping Coordinator as necessary.

• Experience with freight forwarding (ocean/trucking)

Job Responsibilities:

• Support the Export department with export documentation, shipping responsibilities to include organizing carrier paperwork, customs commercial invoices
• Gather, reviews and submit load tickets, Road bill for Export bill of lading instructions to include VGM and Tare weights confirmation in a timely manner
• Log weights shipped, shipment reference, captures freight costs from carriers’ invoices.

In Navision

• Receive transfer DDGs from 3pl elevators location to base inventory bin location for further export processing
• Matches weight tickets with ocean carrier invoices, for payment/processing including reviewing, auditing, and printing carrier invoices sent to the AP box
• Dispute freight invoices with carrier, flag backups, and match credit notes to prior billing
• Assist with the pre-arrival notices for customs clarence, advance payment for empty ISO, empty tank, and arrange final inbound and validation of delivery
• Track all Package, DDG, and ISO tank container shipments and update the Navision and or relevant sailing schedules accordingly
• Assist with securing Rail reservations for Alcohol shipments from Brampton.
• Assist with Secure Booking confirmations for Dried Distillers Grains & Alcohol shipments to include Bulk ISO tank consistent with production and loading at the various location
• Monitor corrections for vessel operators and revise Canada Export Reporting System (CERS) with shipment splits and correct sailing dates
• Request support certificates and invoices including (CERS, COO, FTA, CETA, CUKFTA, CNCA Certificates, manufacturers declaration, etc.)
• Assist with updating DDGS Schedule daily with booking changes, vessel delays, arrivals, split shipments etc.
• Creating courier labels for DHL, Purolator, FedEx, etc.
• Monitor Group Export email box and AP group folder, reply or forward emails to the relevant personal at Greenfield Chelsea / Ocean Carriers / Transport Canada in the event of Inspection / Missing labels/ other documents for Package Shipments
• Assist with the creating hazardous declaration forms for ocean carriers review there correctness
• Backup Support to Export Customer Service Representative, Export Shipping Representative and internally during vacations/ absences
• Performs other duties as assigned.
