Who You Are:
  • Recent graduate of a Chemical or Mechanical Engineering Program
Your Experience Should Include:
  • Previous manufacturing and project management experience an asset
  • Effectively communicates in a team-based environment.
  • Can multitask and handles multiple tasks of varying complexity.
  • Detailed oriented and experience managing a budget.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Manage ~ 7 capital projects in FY25 amounting to $200,000 in total budget under the supervision of the Project Engineer. These projects will include:
    • The replacement of flame arrestors in our tank farm.
    • The replacement of our site radios
    • The addition of a backflush line to our liquefaction P&F heat exchangers
    • The replacement of a steam control valve on one of our distillation columns.
    • The replacement of a lifting hoist
    • Piping addition to the tank farm.
    • Rework of piping on our evaporation backup feed pump.
  • Maintain accurate documentation to support project initiatives including project timelines, progress reports, P&IDs, operating and maintenance procedures.
  • Provide process engineering support for FY25/FY26 capital project business case development and preliminary engineering/cost estimation.
  • For the remaining $5-6 MM planned capital to be completed in FY25, the incumbent would provide support to the Project Engineer by updating plant drawings under supervision, keeping an eye on procurement activities, and organizing/staging material for contractors.
    • Drawing to be updated include P&ID’s, electrical single lines, architectural, etc. in AutoCAD environment.
  • Provide technical assistance to the production and maintenance team for troubleshooting, problem-solving and continuous improvement activities.
  • Write monthly update reports updating the project engineer and plant stakeholders on project progress, timelines, and budget health.
  • Work with vendors to complete the design of items within GGI requirements before ordering occurs.
  • Prepare and complete purchase requisitions and place purchase orders for all Capex expenditures.
