Greenfield is looking for a Process Engineer to join our growing team.
Position Overview:
Reporting to the Production Manager, this individual provides management and guidance for engineering, construction, maintenance, purchasing, contracting and utility operations. This position provides direct coordination of all process engineering. Experience with utility operations and maintenance would be beneficial.

- Degree or Diploma in Chemical Engineering or P. Eng.
- Experience in a continuous operation facility is an asset.
- Ensure drawings are up-to-date and kept current for the Tiverton facility.
- Provide technical assistance to the plant for troubleshooting, problem solving, and continuous improvement activities.
- Provide technical process oversight for all automation systems (PLC, BMS).
- Works to reduce cost, risk, and increase reliability.
- Sponsors improvements for site Health and Safety programs.
- Ensure the Management of Change Process and the Internal Root Cause Analysis program is followed.
- Develop an intimate knowledge and understanding of each unit operation as well as the interrelationship between unit operations.
- Provide input and guidance for a detailed mass and energy model of the various unit operations.
- Review existing processes, analyze available data, and design and conduct experiments to provide recommendations to optimize the process.
- Empowers the Operations group and develops, builds, and enhances employee knowledge and experience.
- Provides technical mentoring and training to other employees.
- Assists the Operations group by performing and/or participating in structured root cause analysis (RCA) sessions on issues.
- Assists the Operations group by participating in structured hazard and operability studies (HAZOP’s) on new and/or existing equipment as well as new and/or existing procedures.
- Collaborates with vendors to develop and maintain operating procedures that will optimize the performance of the vendor’s product or service.
- Facilitates capital project integration and continuous improvement activities.
- Assists in the development of detailed front-end process engineering and financial justifications for capital projects.
- Assists in the development of and compliance with environmental, health and safety procedures and food safety standards that are interrelated with plant processes.
- Within area of responsibility, develop, promote, and actively champion goals and objectives in the areas of Safety, Environment, Product Quality and Consistency, Customer Service, ISO compliance, FSMA compliance, FSSC compliance, Internal Supplier Relationships, and continuous improvement initiatives.
