The Director Regulatory Compliance will provide technical advisory services and support for technical-regulatory & product- quality/ safety certification aspects of Greenfield Global to ensure compliance and maintenance of required licenses, permits and certifications.

 

Included:

  • Continuous monitoring, identification and communication of Canadian regulatory compliance requirements to the Canadian business units
  •  Monitoring regulatory compliance status across the company and identification of trends, priorities, risks
  •  Providing support to senior regulatory leadership to interpret regulatory/ compliance standards and recommend standards or best-practices for effective implementation across the business
  • Providing support to the senior quality leadership to interpret product-certification requirements, to prepare product-quality statements, and recommend standards or best-practices for effective implementation across the business
  •  Keeping company legal counsel apprised of regulatory concerns, audits, and non-compliance matters
  • Being a point person and champion for solving Canadian regulatory non-compliance matters
  • Providing technical support to the business units for customer-specific technical enquiries that are outside of their expertise
  • Establishment of policies and standards for regulatory compliance
  • Support and advice to sites for technical enquiries, interpretations, standards of implementation for certifications, renewals/ re-certifications
  • Development of regulatory relationship strategies where appropriate
  • Participation in various associations and working groups related to regulatory matters
  • Performing due diligence on potential business ventures in connection with regulatory and compliance risk
  • Supporting quality peer groups to standardize corporate policies.

  • Local Building Code, Fire Code, Electrical Code, Boiler Code requirements, including TSSA compliance
  • US Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB) regulations
  • Transportation of Dangerous Goods & Transportation Compliance.

Energy requirements are provided by a 1st Class Plant, generating 31,000 Kw and 45,000 kg/hr of steam at 900 kpa through an HRSG.  Other energy-related equipment include twin gas-fired rotary drum driers, 4 centrifuges, economizers, a Thermal Oxidizer, 3 compressors, Micro Filters, RO, softeners,  waste water monitoring and RO water filtration units.
