Today, they are Canada’s largest producer of alcohol and fuel ethanol, and one of the largest alcohols and solvents companies in North America serving customers in more than 50 countries worldwide.

 

Greenfield has built a world-class GMP manufacturing facility in Portlaoise Ireland, the company’s first foray into manufacturing outside of North America. The facility will ensure Greenfield has the capacity needed to meet increased demand from life science customers throughout Europe and the region.

 

The company’s Irish operations in Portlaoise is a newly constructed 3,800 square-meter manufacturing facility. We are currently seeking a Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist for this location.   The EHS Specialist will report to the Production Manager.

 

This position will lead the EHS function by providing direction and support at all levels in the plant. This position will monitor and assess compliance to prevent chemical, physical and biological hazards and exposures throughout the plant and to the community.   The individual will ensure that all plant environmental, health and safety policies, guidelines and programs are in compliance with regulatory requirements, best practice industry and Corporate standards. The individual will administer effective EH&S programs and procedures that continuously increase overall awareness in EHS to eliminate undesired incidents at the plant.  This will include, developing, organizing and providing any needed EHS training.  Collaborate with Corporate, business units and regulatory agencies to ensure EHS concerns are identified and managed.  Along with participates on the Corporate and Portlaoise EH&S Committees.
